Cozy loft in Sweden boasts some interesting architectural and decorative interior details that are sure to spark a design idea or two. The top floor of this maisonette is situated in the roof, allowing for some really appealing linear effects with the walls and ceilings, such as the downward slant gathering at a point in the kitchen, those dark raw ceiling beams creating a striking, rustic contrast.
In addition to the linear interest, the loft has some wonderful curves that soften the space, such as the staircase and the fireplace, which really work to define that cozy, soft feeling in the space. The color scheme is neutral with some attractive pops of color (in this case green), as is typical of Scandinavian style decor. The kitchen is a blissfully contemporary focal point on the upper level. We really like the graphic wallpaper used in the bedroom, which up close is rather fun.
